SLEEPY EYE - Sleepy Eye edged Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Tuesday in a Tomahawk Conference baseball game.
Sleepy Eye's Marc Riederer went 1 2/3 innings for the win. He struck out one, he gave up two hits and two runs (one of them earned).
Nick DeWanz pitched all seven innings. He struck out four batters, and he walked two. He gave up 11 hits and seven runs (six of them were earned).
Brandon Polesky of Sleepy Eye went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and he scored two runs. Alex Bruggeman went 3-for-4 with a double and he had three RBIs.
Noah Edwards went 2-for-4 for MVL. He had a double, a triple, one run scored and an RBI. DeWanz went 1-for-2 with a double and one RBI.
Sleepy Eye (1-2) will host Comfrey/Cedar Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Monday in a doubleheader. MVL will play Springfield at Johnson Park on Monday.

Wabasso 9, C/CM 1
MORGAN - Wabasso swept Comfrey/Cedar Mountain in a Tomahawk Conference baseball doubleheader on Tuesday, winning both games by a score of 9-1.
Josh Altermatt was the winning pitcher for Wabasso in the first game. Altermatt pitched six innings and gave up no runs on five strikeouts.
Mitch Tremel got the loss for C/CM. He gave up eight runs, two earned, on six hits and three strikeouts.
Neil Eichten led Wabasso at the plate, going 2-for-3, while Colton Kunkel was 2-for-2 for the Rockets.
Dirk Pistulka got the win on the mound for Wabasso in game two. Pistulka gave up one run on three strikeouts in five innings of work.
Zack Kelly took the loss for C/CM. Kelley gave up eight runs in 3 1/3 innings.
William Klann and Caleb Salfer were each 2-for-3 to the lead the Rabbits offensively in game two.
Drew Dalenbach was 1-for-1 to lead the Rockets.
Wabasso will host Cathedral on Monday, while C/CM will play a doubleheader at Sleepy Eye on Monday.

SPRINGFIELD - Springfield swept Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop in a Tomahawk Conference doubleheader on Tuesday.
In the first game, Cooper Scheffler earned the win for the Tigers. He went five innings and he struck out five. Dylan Wersal earned the save, going two innings and striking out two.
Carter Erickson was 3-for-4 for the Tigers and Ryan Klabunde took the loss for the Thunderbirds.
In the second game, Erickson earned the win. He went four innings and struck out three. He didn't allow a hit. Bobby Klabunde pitched the final three innings for the Tigers.
Nolan Huiras took the loss for the Thunderbirds.
The Tigers had 10 hits and GFW had three in the game. Nick Runck led Springfield, going 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Scheffler was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Springfield is at MVL on Monday and GFW is at Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Thursday.
