Peter Bloedel Brings Magic Show to Turner Hall
NEW ULM - Master entertainer Peter Bloedel will be performing his Perpetual Vaudeville Show on Tuesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at Turner Hall, 102 South State Street, New Ulm.
A part of New Ulm Public Library's summer reading program, this event features comedy, magic, music, and juggling and is open to all ages. No registration is required.

Irish Dance Class offered at New Ulm Library
NEW ULM - An Irish dance class will be held for children ages 7 and up on Wednesday, June 25, at 3 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library.
Registration is not required for this event featuring traditional Irish dances, including the Bonfire Dance.

Garden Club Trip
NEW ULM - The New Ulm Garden Club is sponsoring a coach bus trip to Bachman's on Lyndale, Tangletown nursery, and more on June 26. The group will have a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the garden areas and floral design. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. Cost is $20 per person. Call 507-276-9564 if interested.
Experience a school day in a One Room School
NEW ULM - The Brown County Historical Society will be offering a One Room School House Experience at the school house at the Brown County Fairgrounds in New Ulm.
It is open to children that are entering first through sixth grades. This is a one day event held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9 or Thursday, July 10. Cost of the program is $ 10 and the deadline for registration is Monday, July 7. Class size is limited, so participants must pre-register.
Participants will experience writing, reading, arithmetic lessons, music, games and chores that made the one room school a unique part of our heritage. This year will focus on World War II era, so they will also learn about rationing, victory gardens and how everyone pitched in for the war effort. The students are encouraged to wear clothing appropriate for the 1940s, although it is not necessary. Students will also need to bring a cold lunch, in a basket or lunch pail.
