The Southwest District named its All-District Teams and honorable mentions for 2018, with 23 area athletes receiving honors.

Making the All-Subdistrict Team from the east this year from New Ulm Cathedral were seniors Alex Hillesheim, Zach Helget, Joey Griebel, David Berg and Aaron Portner. Griebel was also named the Defensive Lineman of the Year by the district.

Cathedral had senior Elliot Schoo and junior Tony Geiger receive honorable mentions.

Springfield had five players named to the team also, with seniors Isaac Fink and James Ploeger and juniors Decker Scheffler, Mason Rummel and Ivan Hovland all earning the nod. Springfield also had senior Mitchell Leonard and Nolan Hovland were named honorable mentions.

Sleepy Eye had a trio of seniors make the team in Blake Tauer, Jacob Berg and Landon Strong, while seniors Nathan Walter and Isaac Velasquez were named honorable mentions.

From Wabasso, seniors Tristan Kuehn and Ryan Liebl were chose to the team, while seniors Brock Rohlik and Carl Swedzinski were named honorable mentions.
