• Mathiowetz had 28 points, 10 rebonds, four assists and five steals in a 75-41 win vs. Central Minnesota Christian on Friday.

• She had another solid performance on Saturday against Cleveland, adding 26 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals in an 80-56 win.

Mathiowetz, a starter last year as an eighth-grader, looks to take another step forward this year as one of the Knights’ leaders.

” It’s definitely a challenge,” she said about being a young leader. “But it’s fun, and you get to learn a lot of skills that I know I’ll use in the future. And I have a great team to work with, so that helps a lot.
