NEW ULM – A grand jury has formally indicted Randy Thomas Zimmerman with first-degree murder in the death of Justin Reinarts and Tabitha Trescott. The new charges against Zimmerman came during his initial hearing on Tuesday. Zimmerman was initially charged with the second-degree murder of Reinarts and Trescott, which carries a maximum of 40 years in prison if convicted.
