Courtland receives maintenance update
COURTLAND – The Courtland City Council received an infrastructure update from Maintenance and Utilities Supervisor Dave Ubel during Thursday’s meeting. “A pump went out at the lift station on Shady Oak Drive near the water plant. The pump was purchased in 1998, so it is over 26 years old. To repair the pump, the cost would be about $1,500 less than a new pump. A new pump will cost $19,232,” said Ubel. “The panels are also about 26 years old, and it is recommended that they are replaced too along with the rails and plates that the pump slides into.
