Former New Ulm teacher sentenced to six years in prison
MINNEAPOLIS — A 54-year-old Mankato man who taught school in New Ulm and Sleepy Eye years ago was sentenced to 72 months in prison Thursday for distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). In federal court, Daniel John Jahnke was ordered to service five years supervised probation and pay $18,000 in special assessments that benefit minors directly impacted by such offenses.
