Three Concord Singers honored
Three members of the Concord Singers were honored for distinguished service to the community at the group’s annual Christmas party.
The three have been members of the group the longest time. The accumulative years of service for the three is 125 years.
William (Flip) Puchner, Dr. Kurt Bell and Louis Adam were presented with plaques Friday by Mayor Carl L. Wycazwski.
Puchner is the only charter member, active since the founding of the Concord Singers in 1931.
Although not present at the organizational meeting, Dr. Bell who joined the group in 1932 is considered a charter member.
Adam became a Concord Singer in 1935.The annual party was attended by 70 members of the Singers, their wives and friends.
