Suspect arrested in Mankato
MANKATO — A suspect has been arrested after a Kwik Trip clerk was fatally stabbed early Tuesday morning, according to Mankato Police.
Officers responded to a disturbance shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Kwik Trip on Madison Avenune and found a man unresponsive, later identified as 34 year-old Dennis Vosika, with a knife wound. He was rushed to Mayo Clinic Health System where he was pronounced dead.
Using a surveillance video, police identified the suspect, a 28-year-old man name Michael Miller and arrested him at his home.
Kwik Trip President/CEO Scott Zietlow issued a news release Tuesday.
“It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I write to inform you of an unimaginable tragedy that occurred at our Mankato store. This is a devastating loss for all of us, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends,” said Zietlow.
“As a company, we are fully committed to supporting our co-workers through this painful ordeal. The suspect is in custody, and we are working closely with law enforcement authorities to understand what happened. We will get through this as a community, leaning on each other for strength and support,” he said.
