• Rand Wayne Peterman, 71, Winthrop pleaded guilty to 3rd-degree DWI Oct. 31. He was sentenced to 364 days confinement, stayed for two years supervised probation with conditions that he serve three days in jail, complete 27 days electronic home alcohol monitoring, complete a comprehensive assessment within 60 days, follow all recommendations, attend a victim impact panel. He was fined $535.

• Unconditional bail was set at $12,000 cash or bond for Samantha Jo Kaase, 35, Hastings Oct. 28, on charges alleging felony 5th-degree controlled substance possession and 2nd-degree DWI. She could be released on her own recognizance subject to conditions she not use or possess alcohol or non-prescribed substances and comply with Colorwheel testing. An omnibus hearing was set for 1 p.m. Dec. 19.
