NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING
WHEREAS, Chad
Aukes (“Applicant”)
and John Gag, on
behalf of JMG Rentals,
Inc. (“Owner”), have
filed an application with
the City of New Ulm re-
questing a Conditional
Use Permit to allow the
operation of a
Recreation/Entertainment
Indoor Commercial
Land Use on property
zoned I-2 (General In-
dustrial) and legally
described as Lot B of
Lot 1 and Lot B-2 of
Lot 2, Block 3, North of
Center Street, the
street address of the
property is 106 3 rd
North Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of
New Ulm has initiated
proceedings to consid-
er the amendment of
Chapter 6 of Appendix
A – Zoning Ordinance
to the City Code. The
proposed change in-
volves the adoption of
development stan-
dards for grid lots with
a minimum of 12,000
sq. ft. of lot area in the
I-1 (Planned Industrial)
zoning district.
WHEREAS, the City of
New Ulm has initiated
proceedings to consid-
er the amendment of
chapter 10.5 of Appen-
dix A – Zoning Ordi-
nance to the City
Code. The proposed
changes involves the
adoption of additional
requirements for tem-
porary signs.
WHEREAS, the City
Code requires that this
matter be considered
by the New Ulm Plan-
ning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED,
pursuant to the City
Code, the New Ulm
Planning Commission
will meet at 4:30 P.M.
on Thursday, January
30, 2025 in the City
Hall Council
Chambers, 100 North
Broadway, New Ulm,
Minnesota to consider
this matter. The public
and all interested par-
ties are hereby official-
ly notified of said hear-
ing.
All written comments
will be read into the
record and must be re-
ceived by Noon, Thurs-
day, January 30, 2025
and shall be submitted
