place Aircraft Fueling

Systems project at the

New Ulm Municipal

Airport . Sealed bids,

subject to the condi-

tions herein, will be re-

no later than 11:00

a.m. on Wednesday,

March 5th, 2025 . The

received bids will be

publicly read aloud im-

rity should be made

payable to the ” City of

New Ulm ” and must

not contain any condi-

tions either in the body

or as an endorsement

thereon. The bid secu-

rity shall be forfeited to

the City of New Ulm as

liquidated damages in

the event the success-

ful bidder fails or re-

fuses to enter into a

contract within ten (10)

days after the award of

contract and the

maintenance of said

work, if required, pur-

suant to the provisions

of this notice and other

contract documents.

The City of New Ulm

will accept a bid bond

approved by the Min-

nesota Department of

Transportation and/or

the United States

government.

The successful bidder

will be required to fur-

nish separate perfor-

mance and payment

bonds in amounts

equal to one hundred

percent (100%) of the

contract price, said

bonds to be issued by

a responsible surety

approved by the City of

New Ulm .

The work under this

contract for this con-

struction shall be start-

ed within 10 days after

the “Construction No-

tice to Proceed” is is-

sued, anticipated after

July 1st , 2025. Work

shall be substantially

complete July 31st ,

2026.

The bidder is en-

couraged but not re-

quired to include

Disadvantaged Busi-

ness Enterprise (DBE)

participation, as de-

fined in Appendix A of

49 CFR Part 26, Regu-

lations of the Office of

Secretary of Transpor-

tation. The apparent

successful bidder will

be required to submit

information concerning

the DBE’s that will par-

ticipate in this contract.

The information shall

include the name and

address of each DBE,

a description of the

work to be performed

by each named firm,

and the dollar value of

the contract.

Plans and specifica-

tions governing the

construction of the pro-

posed airport improve-

ments have been

prepared by Mead &

Hunt, Inc., Blooming-

ton, Minnesota. Plans

and specifications and

the proceedings of the

City referring to and

defining said proposed

improvements are

hereby made a part of

the Notice by refer-

ence, and the pro-

posed contract shall be

executed in compli-

ance therewith. Copies

of said plans and

specifications are
