PUBLIC NOTICE
PUBLISH
(April 16, 2025)
PUBLIC NOTICE: The
Brown County High-
way Department will be
applying herbicide to
the right-of-way of
County roads to control
the growth of noxious
weeds. The chemicals
used require the treat-
ed road ditch not be
cut for hay for 14 days.
Call the Highway
Department to find out
when a road ditch has
been treated. The hay
from the treated road
ditch will pass through
an animal causing the
manure to injure
broadleaf plants wher-
ever it is spread the
next year. Anyone
wishes NOT to have a
specific road ditch
sprayed needs to com-
plete a Non Spray Ap-
plication which can be
obtained by contacting
the Brown County
Highway Department
at 507-233-5700, or
printing and completing
the form off the Brown
County Web site:
www.browncountymn.
gov under Depart-
ments/ Highway/ Per-
mits. Return form to
Brown County High-
way Dept. by May 15,
2025. When landown-
ers/
renters do not respond,
we will assume it is ac-
ceptable to spray.
