Hermann Monument grand reopening

New Ulm Mayor Terry Sveine and the Hermann Monument Society led a grand reopening and ribbon cutting event Thursday evening to celebrate the recent conclusion of the Hermann Heights Park RENU project. Project components included: relocationof the park entrance from off the crest on the Center Street hill, relocation of the park entrance road Monument Street; parking lots; sidewalks; lighting; curb, gutter and storm sewer; three rain garden storm management basins; replacement of the degraded retaining walls along Center Street; prairie grass and wildflowers; 255 diverse trees and shrubs.
