United Prairie Donates to New Ulm Food Shelf
United Prairie in New Ulm recently raised $850 through its Denim for Dollars program. Those funds were donated to the New Ulm Emergency Food Shelf. The nonprofit is a volunteer-run organization that provides food to needy families and individuals. Denim for Dollars is a company-wide program that gives back to the communities United Prairie serves through a combination of employee and company donations. Employees have the option to pay $5 on Fridays to wear denim. Four times each year, those funds are donated, along with a company-match, to deserving causes across the United Prairie footprint. The program has raised over $325,000 company-wide. To learn more about the Denim for Dollars program, visit their website at www.unitedprairiebank.com.
