NEW ULM — Chris Ames and Chris Steffen played cool country hits on a warm evening.

Chris & Chris were scheduled to play the German Park amphitheater Monday night, but due to the extreme warm weather the concert was relocated to the Civic Center.

The Sleepy Eye duo performed classic country songs, modern country hits and everything in-between.

Ames and Steffen have been playing together since 2012. Steffen said they love playing older country music, but they both like learning new country songs as well.

Chris & Chris gave the penultimate performance of the 2023 Music in the Park series. The final Music in the Park show begins at 7 p.m. in German Park and will feature the West Central Connection Barber Shop Chorus.
