Kitchen fire breaks out at Kaiserhoff restaurant
Light snow falls late Wednesday morning as New Ulm firefighters run toward the Kaiserhoff restaurant to extinguish a kitchen fire. New Ulm Fire Chief Paul Macho said the fire caused by a loose gas connection was reported at 11:49 a.m. Macho said the fire caused minimal fire damage, no smoke damage, no injuries and was contained to the restaurant kitchen. Macho praised New Ulm Police for directing traffic around the fire and Kaiserhoff employees for evacuating the building. Firefighters were at the scene for 30 minutes.
