NUFD extinguishes house fire
NEW ULM — New Ulm firefighters were dispatched to a house fire at 712 South Front Street at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday.
Heavy smoke and flames were visible on the first and second floors but nobody was home when firefighters arrived. The fire was under control within 45 minutes. Firefighters were on scene for about 4 hours.
The fire originated on the main floor with heavy damage to the entire structure. No injuries were reported. The fire cause is under investigation by the New Ulm Fire Department and State Fire Marshal. New Ulm Police assisted at the scene.
