Telling a Christmas story

St. Paul’s Lutheran preschool holiday program

Preschoolers at St. Paul’s Lutheran sing “Go tell it on the Mountain” during Thursday’s Christmas program. Of all the Christmas songs sung during the program, preschool director Heidi Meyer said “Go tell it on the Mountain” was their favorite. She said the students would sometimes start singing the song throughout the day ever since rehearsal began in October. NEW ULM – The preschoolers at St. Paul’s Lutheran entertained parents and grandparents Thursdays with their Christmas program.

The children with the help of preschool director Heidi Meyer told the Christmas story starting with the story of Genesis and the promise of a savior to come. The children then recited the story of Joseph and Mary traveling to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus in a manager.

The children sang “Silent Night,” “Away in a Manager,” “Joy to the World” and “Go, Tell It on a Mountain.”

Meyer said “Go tell It on the Mountain” was the children’s favorite. Many of the preschoolers break into singing the song outside of rehearsal.

Starting at $4.38/week.
