Televising the remaining ditch 74 tile line unanimously approved
SIGEL TOWNSHIP — Brown County commissioners unanimously approved a request to televise remaining County Ditch 74 tile segments Tuesday.
Nearly 6,500 feet of the tile system was televised in 2021. About 1,760 feet of the main tile line and 1,540 feet of branch 3 remains to be televised.
The additional inspection by a remote control camera to determine tile condition will provide a complete tile condition survey. Three tile line excavations are estimated to prepare for televising.
“I think this is a good use of funds. It doesn’t pay to patch work something that may have (tile) problems we haven’t looked at yet,” said Commissioner Scott Windschitl.
“We’re almost there. We may as well finish it off,” said Commissioner Brian Braun, whose motion for the additional televising was seconded by Tony Berg.
