NEW ULM — Brown and Nicollet County Dairy Princesses and Ambassadors were crowned at the Farm-City Hub Club Farm Show Saturday at the New Ulm Civic Center.
Dairy princesses serve as dairy industry goodwill ambassadors at appearances that help explain diary farmers’ passion for caring for their animals and land, while providing nutritious food locally and throughout the world.
The program is sponsored by county dairy farmers and the Midwest Dairy Minnesota Division and the dairy checkoff.
Dairy ambassadors help with the distribution of dairy promotional items.
Judging and coronation activities included an educational session on public speaking and recognition of the princesses and ambassadors, many of which said they grew up on dairy farms and often still work at them when they are not in high school or college.
