Brown Co. Board reviews public health evaluation
Director says staff has low turnover
NEW ULM — Brown County Public Health Director Jaimee Brand told Brown County commissioner Tuesday that she’s proud of the work her staff of 20 does each year.
“Each staff member completes a story board that highlights their programs, accomplishments, data and financial information that is pulled into one document for review by our advisory committee members. It’s a reminder of all the great work completed over a year,” said Brand.
She said public health teams have focus areas such as community health, administrative support and maternal child health.
“Although each team is responsible for certain programs, all department staff help provide back-up to each other. We’ve been pretty steady with staff the last few years, which is nice,” said Brand.
In 2024, public health family health staff made 808 visits to pregnant and postpartum mothers and children under age five. Ninety car seat education appointments were provided.
