Easter events start Saturday
Easter bunnies, real rabbits on venue list
NEW ULM — Easter holiday events begin as early as Saturday, April 12 and continue through Saturday, April 19 in and around New Ulm.
There is a lot to do for any age.
Saturday, April 12
All kids are invited to the Orchard Hill Senior Living Easter egg hunt set for 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., April 12 at 1223 Karl Drive.
Parents are invited to dress up their kids and get pictures with the Easter Bunny, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at the Best Western Plus. The Shop-n-Hop Craft Show includes Easter eggs for all kids and discount eggs for crafter and vendor shoppers.
Friday, April 18
The Bunny Hop at Woodstone Senior Living is set for 10-11:30 a.m. Friday April 18. An egg hunt, Easter Bunny photos and live bunnies are available. Events for ages 1-5 are inside, 6-12 outside at 2020 Meyer Dr.
The New Ulm Recreation Center pool hosts the egg hunt at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 18. Eggs can be turned in for prizes.
Weather permitting, the Most Rev. Chad W. Zielinski, bishop of the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm will lead a public prayer and meditation on the 14 Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, April 18. The area Knights of Columbus will staff the Way of the Cross 1-5 p.m. People of all faiths are welcome.
Saturday, April 19
The Schell’s Bierhalle opens at 9:30 a.m. April 19 for the Easter Keg Hunt. Clues will be handed out at 9:55 a.m. for teams of up to four people. When the keg is found, Schell’s will post that the hunt is over. The winning team gets a number of prizes.
The annual Easter egg hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. April 19 at Harman Park.
The Schell’s Easter Egg Hoppy Hunt is set for 1-3 p.m. April 19. Cookie decorating is set for noon to 2 p.m.
The Sleepy Eye Easter egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. April 19 at Allison Park. In case of inclement weather, it moves to the Sleepy Eye Event Center.
The Fairfax community Easter egg party begins at 9:30 a.m. April 19 on the St. John’s church grounds or in Prairie Lutheran School in case of inclement weather.
The Hanska Easter egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. April 19 at the Hanska City Park.
