Young swimmers dive for 500 Easter Eggs in one pool
NEW ULM– Aqua Bunny mischievously dumped 500 brightly colored Easter eggs into Vogel’s pool with the help of lifeguards this Friday afternoon for Park and Recreation’s annual EGGStravaganza.
Over 60 children and their parents attended the event. Kids of all ages attended the event, like 10 year-year old Ezekiel Sanchez or little four month old Brinley Abramson.
“It’s her first time swimming,” said Calleigh Buechner, Abrahamson’s mom.
Easter banners and springtime pictures decorated the pool. After swimmers jumped into the water for all those brightly colored eggs, children could take photos with Aqua Bunny or hand in their eggs for prizes. Crafts like coloring or turning eggs into sparkly dinosaurs were set out in the pool’s viewing room during the event.
The next event for Park and Recreation and Early Childhood Family Education, ECFE, will be the Family Fun Fair at the Civic Center on April 26.
