Park and Rec

•Community Concert at German Park Thursday Aug. 8. Music will be provided by the Mages Family Band starting at 7 p.m. followed by the Misfits on August 15. Concerts are presented by the New Ulm Park and Rec Department and KNUJ Radio. Don’t miss out on the fun! Full schedule is available here: https://newulmmn.gov/277/Activities

•Fall Program Registration is now open. Registration available online at newulmmn.gov for programs including swimming lessons (start in September) as well as youth football, volleyball, tennis (starts in November), racquetball league, and adult pottery.

•Rec on the Go is a traveling program that provides games, crafts and fun at designed times and locations through August 8. Tuesdays they will be at Highland Park 10-11:30 a.m. and Riverside Park 12-1:30 p.m. and Thursdays at North 10-11:30 a.m. and Lincoln 12-1:30 p.m. Catch them Thursday evenings before Concerts in the Park from 6-7 p.m. This program is made possible through a partnership and funding from Community Education.

• Fall Garage Sale will be held in the Civic Center on Saturday, September 28. Anyone interested in being a vendor at the sale, register in person. Remaining spots can be reserved at the Rec Center. 

•Skating at the Civic Center open skate: Sundays 1:15-2:45 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. 

•Open Figure Skating available Mondays 1:15-2:30 p.m. 

•Open Hockey at the Civic Center General Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., PW/younger Wednesdays 4-5:30 p.m. and Bant/older Sundays July 28 from 9-10 p.m. and Sundays in Aug. 6:30-7:45 p.m.

•Wading Pools open daily 12:30 to 6 p.m. through Aug. 18.

•North Park Splash Pad open daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day

•Indoor Pool and Locker Rooms will be shut down starting Monday Aug.26 through Labor Day, Sept. 2 for annual maintenance.
