The 10th Annual New Ulm Diabetes Walk will take place at Flandrau State Park on Saturday, October 5. This is a Strides, Lions for Diabetes Awareness Event and is a collaboration of the Lions Club of New Ulm and the Lafayette Area Lions Club. This is an approximately a half mile walk on Flandrau park’s beautiful trails. Free admission to the park is included. Children, pets and strollers are welcome to this family friendly event. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. The Walk takes place at 9:00-10:30 a.m. This is a Fund Raiser for the Minnesota Lions Diabetes Foundation, who is working with the University of Minnesota to find a CURE for Diabetes. Representatives from diabetes equipment manufactures will be there to answer any questions you may have. Snack bars, Fruit, Coffee and Water will be provided.
