New executive director of ProMusica MN

Julie Fredrickson, WEB Construction; Ann Fredrickson, Bethel Bulge, ProMusica Minnesota; Karen Traulich, American Artstone; Sarah Seifert, Citizens Bank Minnesota.

The Willkommen Committee recently visited with ProMusica MN to celebrate their new executive director, Ann Fredrickson.

Fredrickson worked for 12 years as a trained opera singer before she began teaching at Bethany Lutheran College.  It was there that she met ProMusica Artistic Director and Founder, Bethel Bulge, who teaches piano at Bethany.  Fredrickson then began to work on the board and was eventually asked to fill the role of executive director.  She began in July and is just starting to understand what the job entails and getting the hang of it.

ProMusica MN is an independent non-profit that hosts three concerts throughout the year for “chamber music of the highest quality” at the Chapel of the Christ on the MLC campus.  They offer season passes, buyers of which receive a thank you gift in the form of a candle with a QR code to listen to chamber music while burning it.

ProMusica MN is also working on a signage project with ten locations throughout New Ulm where people can scan a QR code and listen to music while walking the designated routes. This is a fitness incentive, and also a new way to experience New Ulm’s parks and attractions – the music is chosen specifically for each location.  This is the first project of its kind in Minnesota.

To learn more, ProMusica MN can be found online at www.promusicamn.com, or call them at (507) 205-2249.

Starting at $4.38/week.
