NEW ULM — Members of Der Deutsche Longbeards Chapter, the local Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, recently delivered 14 turkeys to the New Ulm Food Shelf.

Proceeds from the Chapter Hunting Heritage Banquet funded the purchase of the turkeys. Proceeds also fund a scholarship program and donations to local high school trap teams.

This year’s Hunting Heritage Banquet is Feb. 1 and will be held at the Courtland Town Hall, catered by Swany’s Pub.
