Outstanding FFA members for December
SLEEPY EYE – The area Future Farmers of America (FFA) announce Eric Lozano, Camryn Maher, Arianna Moore and Nevaeh Moore as the December’s Outstanding FFA members
Eric Lozano is in the 10th grade at Sleepy Eye Public and has been in FFA for four years. Lozano joined FFA to develop leadership and life skills as well as decision making. His office is the Chapter Sentinel. What Lozano likes about his position is that he has the ability to assist the President.
His favorite FFA activity is the Lock-In. While being in FFA and Ag. classes, Loazno has learned that agriculture is a broad field covering many different jobs. Something Lozano is looking forward to in FFA is to get more comfortable with meeting new people. An award Eric is most proud of is his Greenhand FFA Degree.
Camryn Maher is a freshmen at Sleepy Eye Public and has been involved in FFA for three years. Maher joined FFA to learn and go to all the FFA events. She is the Junior Officer Team President this year and enjoys being a leader and a good role model for others. Maher is on the Companion Animals Career Development Event (CDE) team. She enjoys the team because she really likes animals. Maher’s Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) involves mowing lawns in the summer. Her favorite FFA activities are the Summer FFA events. Since joining FFA and Ag. classes, Maher has learned about different careers. She is most looking forward to competing in her CDE Competition and going to State Convention. The achievements Maher is most proud of earning second and sixth place at State for the FFA Creed Competition.
Arianna Moore is a seventh grader this year and has been in FFA for one year. Arianna Moore was inspired to join FFA because her brothers were already members. Pumpkin Palooza and sorting crops were her favorite FFA activities. While being in Ag Class and FFA, Arianna Moore has learned about all of the different breeds of cows and types of crops. She is looking forward to taking Construction Classes. Arianna Moore is most proud of winning the Junior High Crop Show this year and earning the Wheat Champion award.
Nevaeh Moore is a seventh grader this year and has been in FFA for one year. Nevaeh Moore joined FFA because her brothers were in it and she wanted to take the Ag. Classes. The FFA Crop Show was her favorite FFA activity. While being in Ag Class & FFA, Nevaeh Moore has learned about all of the different crops and how to make the samples. She is looking forward to taking Construction Classes. Nevaeh Moore
