Buddy Holly tribute concert comes to State Street

"Buddy Holly: Oh Boy!" a re-staging of Holly's 1959 Winter Dance Party tour is coming to State Street Theater Feb. 1.

NEW ULM – State Street Theater is hosting a tribute concert, called “Buddy Holly: Oh Boy!”

The show is a re-staging of Holly’s 1959 Winter Dance party, featuring the music of Holly’s co-starts Richie Valens, Dion & the Belmonts, The Big Bopper and Frankie Sardo.

The tribute concert is scheduled for the anniversary of the plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa took the lives of Buddy Holly, Big Bopper and Richie Valens.

The show begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb 1. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets are available at the State Street Theater Co. Box Office from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, on the website at StateStreetNewUlm.org, via phone at (507)-359-9990, and at the door.
