NEW ULM -In a change from the past, the annual New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club Farm Show will take over the North arena of the New Ulm Civic Center Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8.

Show hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9a.m. to 4p.m. Saturday.

This year’s show continues its long history of highlighting area agriculture. The show will feature the latest in farm equipment, technology, and services. Exhibitors include farm equipment suppliers, agricultural lenders, auctioneers, communications companies, ag building suppliers, car/truck dealers, government services, and more.

A special Friday evening social will be held, co-sponsored by Ellingson Drainage. Hub Club members,

Farm Show vendors, and anyone interested in agriculture is invited to the Friday evening 8 to 9:30 p.m. social. Appetizers will be available, along with a cash bar. It will be a great time to visit with fellow ag enthusiasts.

Door prizes of fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors will be offered, courtesy of club members Don Sanderson State Farm Insurance of New Ulm, Community Insurance Agency of Lafayette, and Joe Maidl Auctioneering & Real Estate of Lafayette. A special door prize this year, a shop vacuum, has been provided by Runnings of New Ulm.

Youngsters attending the show are encouraged to sign up for kids’ door prizes provided by Runnings, Kibble Equipment, and Miller Sellner.

Door prize winners need not be present to win, but will be asked to pick up their prizes at a local business.

Show visitors are encouraged to “come hungry” as Hub Club members will operate the food stand in the Civic Center entry, serving pizza, pulled pork, hot dogs, cookies, and beverages. Christensen Farms is sponsoring the pork for the pulled pork sandwiches and Kwik Trip is providing cookies.

Show proceeds allow the Farm-City Hub club to support agricultural education for area youth through

scholarships and FFA/4-H leadership programs.
