State Street to take a”Magic Carpet Ride”
NEW ULM – State Street Theater invites audiences on a journey back to the heart of the 1960s with Magic Carpet Ride: Music of San Francisco 1967, a one-night-only event.
The show starts a7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 and will feature tributes to the Summer of Love will music that defined there era paired with a stunning psychedelic video show.
The show will include set list honoring the The Beatles, Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, The Byrds, and more. Audiences can expect to be transported by the sounds and spirit of San Francisco’s revolutionary music scene, where rock, folk, and psychedelic influences collided to create a cultural movement that still resonates today.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. They are available at the State Street Theater Co. Box Office from 9 am to noon, Monday through Friday, on the website at StateStreetNewUlm.org, via phone at (507)-359-9990, and at the door.
