The Willkommen Committee visited Schell’s Brewery to welcome new Tap Room and Event Manager Patricia Brusven.
Brusven is new to New Ulm, having relocated here in the summer after her sister’s family moved here. She came from the Cities and had been looking for a change before the move. With a background in hospitality, Brusven said she kind of “fell into this.”
The job involves managing the event spaces that Schell’s owns like the Bier Halle, Tap Room, Biergarten, and Starkeller, which is available to rent for events. Brusven also manages the regular events on the calendar, like trivia on Wednesday nights through February and occasional live music by local artists. Some of her goals include adding more games, giveaways, family programming, and making Schell’s Brewery “a place to hang out and enjoy yourselves.” The next big event is the annual Bock Fest on March 8.
