NEW ULM – New Ulm High School’s Purple Knowledge Bowl team capped off the season by securing first place in the final meet of the year.

The team went undefeated in all five meets, culminating in another win at the season’s last event, hosted by Minnesota Valley Lutheran (MVL).

The final standings saw the NUHS Purple team finish in first place, followed by MVL Black in second, MVL Blue in third, and St. Peter Salmon in fourth. New Ulm had three other teams perform strongly, finishing in sixth, seventh, and eighth out of a competitive field of 41 teams.

The Eagles KB teams will be competing in the Region 9AAA tournament on Tuesday, March 4 in Mankato.
