Beacon hosts two fundraising events each year, typically in the summer and holiday season. For each event, they select a different non-profit organization to support. The employee committee proposes a list of potential organizations, and then a vote is taken on which one to donate to. A representative from the chosen organization will make a brief presentation, explaining their mission and how the funds will be used.

As part of the fundraiser, Beacon donates a few high-value items for a raffle. They sell raffle tickets, and all proceeds go directly to the selected non-profit. In addition, they host a silent auction and bake sale, where employees donate items and baked goods for others to bid on.

Beacon is part of the HPG Brands organization, which generously matches up to $1,000 of the funds raised. Thanks to the raffle, silent auction, bake sale, and matching donation, over $3,300 was raised for Tea for Cancer Foundation.  Tea for Cancer is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides financial support to local families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.  100% of this donation stays here within our community.
