Brown County Dairy princesses to be crowned

NEW ULM – The crowning of the new Brown County Dairy Princesses will be held 1 p.m. March 8 in New Ulm at the Farm City Hub Club Farm Show.

The Dairy Princess Program is sponsored by the dairy promotion check off, which helps to build demand and sales for dairy products. Judging and coronation activities will be included in this event. The 2025 Dairy Princesses will be crowned, along with the recognition of the 2025 Dairy Ambassadors.

Princess candidates are: Lauren Steffl, Gracie Sellner, Emma Fischer, Madilyn Portner, Rachel Portner and Shayna Sellner.

Lauren Steffl, is the daughter of Tim Steffl and Leah Sandbo. She is a Senior at SDSU studying Agricultural Business with an emphasis in Dairy. She works at Roseview Dairy in rural Sleepy Eye.

Gracie Sellner, daughter of Loran and Heidi. She lives and works on her families’ robotic dairy farm in rural Sleepy Eye. She is currently a Sophmore at SDSU studying Agricultural education with a minor in animal science.

Emma Fischer, daughter of Darrel and Nikki. She works on her grandparents’ dairy farm in rural Sleepy Eye. She is currently a Freshman at Ridgewater College in Willmar.

Madilyn Portner, daughter of Brandon and Nicole. She works at Stadick Dairy. She is currently a senior at New Ulm High School.

Rachel Portner, daughter of Mark and Lisa. Rachel works at her families’ heifer farm north of Sleepy Eye. She is a Senior at St. Mary’s in Sleepy Eye.

Shayna Sellner, daughter of Randy and Dawn. Shayna works at Roseview dairy south of Sleepy Eye. She is a Senior at St. Mary’s in Sleepy Eye.

The 2025 Dairy Ambassadors to be recognized are: Sidney Tauer, daughter of Ron and Stacy, of rural Sleepy Eye; Jasmine Peterman, daughter of Jon and Jackie, of rural Sleepy Eye; Molly Griebel, daughter of Mike and Jenna, of rural New Ulm; Millie Lax, daughter of Mike Lax, of Sleepy Eye and Cheyenne Runck, of Fairfax; Delilah Henrichs, daughter of Amy Henrichs, of New Ulm and Calleigh Fredrickson, daughter of Jason and Crystal Fredrickson, of New Ulm.
