Springfield community invited to take survey

SPRINGFIELD– The City of Springfield is inviting residents and workers in Springfield to help shape the city’s future by participating in a strategic economic development plan and housing study led by Region Nine Development Commission.

“The Economic and Housing Study Survey is a critical tool for gathering insights from key community members, including our EDA, Kickstart Committee, Council members, business owners, and residents who live and work in Springfield,” said City of Springfield’s Community Development Coordinator and Marketing Director Heidi Wersal. “The feedback we collect will help shape an Economic Strategic Plan and Housing Study that will guide the future of Springfield’s growth and development. By involving all voices in this process, we aim to create a plan that strengthens our economy, supports sustainable housing, and ensures a bright future for our community.”

Springfield residents and workers can participate by completing a brief 10-15 minute survey, which will remain confidential. In addition to the survey, community members will have opportunities to participate in small group discussions and a community open house to share further insights. Those interested can leave their contact information at the end of the survey.

Input is vital in identifying opportunities and challenges that will guide Springfield’s growth and development.
