New Ulm Civic Center Garage Sale this Saturday
NEW ULM – The semi-annual Civic Center Garage Sale hosted by New Ulm’s Park and Recreation is 8 am to noon Saturday, April 5.
It is expected to draw a large crowd to the Civic Center’s south arena. This year’s spring sale is free for those who want to shop and browse the multiple vendors all in one location. It takes place rain or shine as it is inside.
“There usually is a line out the door at 8 in the morning right when we open. We don’t track attendance, but it’s a pretty big event,” said Liz Malloy Program Director of New Ulm’s Park and Recreation.
Because there are so many vendors under all in one place, Malloy expects a large variety of items to be at this year’s spring sale.
“People are typically selling kids clothing, toys, decorations, clothing, collection items, and typical garage sale items looking for a new home,” said Malloy.
It’s too late to book a vendor spot for the spring sale as all fifty-one vendor spots are already reserved for those wanting to sell items. Park and Recreation opened registration in January, and they booked up all of the vendor spots in only a few weeks.
The next Civic Center Garage Sale for those interested in selling items, but missed their chance at the spring sale will be held sometime in September with registration opening in late July. Malloy expects registration for the fall Civic Center Garage sale to also fill up quickly.
