Park and Rec Report

•Pool Eggstravaganza: Friday, April 18 at Rec Center. Swimming available 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Egg Hunt in the pool will take place at 2:30 p.m. Eggs may be turned in for prizes. Some prizes may not be suitable for those under 6 years. Fees are $10 per child, $5 per child with membership, $9 per adult or membership. All entering the pool area must pay admission and all pool rules apply. Appearance and photo opportunities will be available with the Aqua Bunny.

•Annual Easter Egg Hunt- Saturday, April 19 at Harman Park. The event is free for ages 10 and under.  Hunt will take place at 10:30 a.m. Take photos with the Easter Bunny from 9:45-10:15 a.m. and after the hunt until 11 a.m.

•Easter Monday Activities include open gym and playground all day, open swim 1 to 4 p.m., open skate 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., open hockey 1:15-2:30 p.m. and open figure skating 4-5:30 p.m.

•Family Fun Fair w/ECFE takes place Saturday, April 26 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Civic Center – information and fun provided by Community agencies, programs and businesses who offer services to families with young children in our community. Hands-on activities for young children and great community resources/information available for parents provided.

•Summer Registration Open. Register online for all your favorites like swim lessons, youth sports, camps, pottery and view Rec on the Go and Puppet Wagon activities. Need help finding information? Go to our website at newulmmn.gov, click on the park and rec button, click on registration. Registration for all programs must be done online or in person at the Rec Center.

•Scholarships available for activities to those meeting the financial qualifications. Please call 507-359-8344 for additional information.

•Private Pickleball Lessons are available at the Rec Center. Anyone interested may register on the pickleball waitlist at newulmmn.gov or in person at the Rec Center. The instructor will contact you to assess goals and schedule the lessons.

•Tot Swim is offered Wednesdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Zero depth area only and children must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Admission is $3 per child. 12-Punch card available for $27

•Tot Gym is offered Monday and Fridays from 9:30-11 a.m.

•Red Cross Lifeguard Training is offered throughout the year, based on participant interest/schedule. Contact Aquatics and Fitness Coordinator bend@newulmmn.gov to get on the list. Certified Lifeguards make a difference in people’s lives and promote teamwork in a fun setting. The next class will be held March 1 and 2.
