NEW ULM – The Willkommen Committee recently visited with Ivy House to welcome their new Executive Director Jana Brueske Finken.
Finken was born and raised in New Ulm, graduated from MVL, and has continued to be involved in the town since her parents moved back here in 2007. Finken’s background is in finances, but she’s had many different jobs, including being a tailor, a barista, working as the Alumni Communications Coordinator at MSU Mankato, although her favorite is being a grandma to 9 grandkids.
Finken was interested in moving back to New Ulm, and when she heard about the job opening and Ivy House’s mission statement, she felt that God was bringing her where she was supposed to be. She has very much enjoyed learning about Ivy House and finding her role there as well as making many connections around town. She is thankful to be able to bring her experience in, excited to grow with the town and grow Ivy House, and says, “the future’s going to be fantastic.”
