New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 12:42 p.m. Nov. 5, 2023 at Highway 14 and Jacobs Street. Cameron Randolph, 41, Sanborn, was driving a 2015 Jeep Compass eastbound on Highway 14, turned north on Jacobs Street and hit a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven westbound on Highway 14 by Christopher Bruch, 49, Arlington. Damage was severe-disabling to both vehicle front ends. A 51-year-old New Ulm woman had a suspected head injury and was transported to New Ulm Medical Center by Allina Ambulance. Both drivers wore seat belts.
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash at 114 S. German St. at 12:02 p.m. Nov. 5. Brennan Robert Harley Glawe, 16, New Ulm, was northbound on German on a 2008 moped, lost control and hit the back of a vehicle. He had minor, hand/wrist injuries. Moped damage was severe and minor to a parked, Dodge Ram.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on the 100 block of N. Broadway at 2:06 p.m. Nov. 6. Richard Domeier, 86, New Ulm, was driving a 2010 Ford pickup on Center St. tried to turn north on Broadway and collided with a semi trailer pulled by a 2011 Peterbilt semi driven by Joshua Feldhege, 22, St. Cloud. Damage was moderate to the front end of the Ford and moderate to both outside right rear semi trailer tires.
• Responded to an assault report at 1:33 p.m. Nov. 6 at 1100 16th St. N. A 36-year-old New Ulm woman said she was assaulted a couple days about but she didn’t know who did it and did not appear to be hurt. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Received a report from the Brown County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office at 4:22 p.m. Nov. 6. A check was intercepted that was altered. No suspect was reported. The incident is under investigation.
• Responded to a domestic report at 6:49 p.m. Nov. 6 on the 1500 block of Elmwood Ave. between a 50-year-old New Ulm man and 56-year-old New Ulm woman. The man was said to have made threats. He was transported to New Ulm Medical Center. Reports were sent to Brown County Human Services and the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Received a vandalism report at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 6 at 803 N. German. A window was broken, believed to have been from rocks thrown at it.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a suspicious activity report at 8:42 a.m. Nov. 7 at CR 10 and 150th St., Albin Township. A trailer with scrap metal was found, then was not there. A report was done for documentation.
Renville County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a report ofa one-vehicle crash at 10:33 a.m., Nov. 7 on CR 6, about 1/4 mile north of CR 15, about 9 miles south of Renville, Flora Township. A 2020 Peterbilt driven by Dustin Kronbach, 39, Lamberton, was southbound on CR 6, blew a tire, entered the ditch and rolled. Kronbach had minor injuries and did not require hospital transport. The semi tractor was deemed a total loss. Assisting on scene were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Renville Police and Fire and Centra Care Ambulance.
Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a three-vehicle crash at 5:37 p.m. Nov. 5 on TH 19 and CR 5, Vesta Township, Redwood County. A 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven northbound on CR 5 by Dalton Michael Sprau, 23, Onslow, Iowa; collided with a 2013 semi driven on TH 19 by Lisa Marie Buhrow, 57, Juneau, Wi. A 2019 Chevy Colorado driven by Lyle Allen Snyder, 47, Marshall, collided with crash debris. Sprau was transported to a Marshall hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All three drivers wore seat belts. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Vesta Fire/Ambulance and North Memorial-Marshall assisted. Alcohol was not involved.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 212 and 560th Street, Prestone Lake Township, Renville County at 11:56 a.m. Nov. 5. A 2008 Buick Lucerne driven eastbound on Highway 212 by Mark Michael Walter, 60, Bird Island, collided with a 1998 Toyota Tacoma driven by Jamie Louise Brandt, 33, Redfield, S.D. One vehicle crossed the center line, causing the collision.
A Buick passenger, Laurene Rose Hodge, 60, Renville, and Walter were transported to North Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injures. Hodge did not wear a seat belt. Brandt was transported to a Glencoe hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in the Buick, Jonathon Kelly Hodge, 23, Sacred Heart, was non-life threatening injuries but was not transported to a health care facility. Alcohol was not involved. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
