New Ulm Police
• To a two-vehicle crash at 6th North and Jefferson St. at 2:37 p.m. Monday. A 2007 Chevrolet driven by Marie Thiede, 62, New Ulm, was northbound on Jefferson St. when it collided with a 2018 Jeep driven westbound on 6th North by Brandy Kuck, 50, Hanska. Both drivers had minor injuries and wore seat belts. Damage was severe to the right side of the Chevrolet and severe to the front end of the Jeep.
• Responded to a theft report at Wal-Mart at 4:47 p.m. Monday. A 30-year-old Gibbon man on probation in Carver County, and his mother, a 53-year-old Watertown woman on Wright County Probation, are suspected of ticket switching and skip scanning $847.19 worth of items from July through Sept. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• A 47-year-old New Ulm man told police at 6:35 p.m. Monday that online scammers took a $5,000 loan out in his name. The man is working with his bank and Social Security Administration on the incident. A report went to investigators.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 5 and 2nd Avenue Northwest, Arlington, Sibley County at 3:46 p.m. Sunday. A 2014 Ford F150 driven by Jared Hollister Thomson, 46, Arlington, was northbound on Sheila Drive when he collided with a 2004 Ford Mustang driven westbound on Highway 5 by Melvin Anthony Sellner, 16, Gibbon. Thomson did not wear a seat belt and was transported to an Arlington hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Melvin and David James Sellner, 43, Gibbon, wore seat belts and were not injured. Alcohol was not involved. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Arlington Fire and Ambulance assisted.
