New Ulm Police

• Responded twice to disturbance reports at the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division at 11:15 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Monday. A 20-year-old Minneapolis man hit staff and threw a chair at them. Minor injuries report, medical attention was not sought. The man was charged with 5th-degree assault in Brown County Court Tuesday.

• Stopped a suspicious vehicle in the Hy-Vee Foods parking lot at 6:21 p.m. Monday. A 28-year-old Springfield woman was cited for non-compliance with marijuana packaging in a motor vehicle and possession of more than 2 oz. marijuana.

Sibley County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a 2-vehicle crash with reported injuries at 6:48 a.m. Monday at the junction of State Highway 25 and 311th Ave (CR 5), Washington Lake Township. A 2018 Jeep Rubicon driven by Lee Sniffin, 49, Belle Plaine, was westbound on TH 25 when he collided with a 2010 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Jaxon Kadelbach, 19, Buffalo Lake. Kadelbach was turning left off 311th to go eastbound on TH 25. Sniffin was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Airbags deployed and damage was heavy in both vehicles. Green Isle Rescue, Ridgeview Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted.
