New Ulm Police

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on the 1500 block North Broadway at 8:04 a.m. Lucas Samuel Compton, 20, Bloomington, was driving a 2017 Subaru Outback northbound, lost control, went into the median, hitting a sign, then went back into the northbound lane and onto the curb on the east side of Broadway. There were no injuries reported. Compton wore a seat belt. There was moderate, disabling vehicle damage.

• Received a scam/fraud report from a New Ulm individual at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday of about $1,500 transferred from a Mankato bank account in June. The bank is investigating the report. Police have no suspects. A report was done for documentation.

Renville County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a call at 6:34 a.m. Friday of two individuals who fell from scaffolding inside a storage tank at the Southern Mn Beet Sugar Coop, 2 miles northeast of Renville. Chance Anderson, 22, Adams, and Tedrick Coleman, 30, Baton Rouge, La. were working on top of scaffolding when it tipped over, causing them to fall 35-40 feet to the ground. Both men received medicare care at the scene by medical crews.

Tedrick was flown by LifeLink III to St. Cloud Hospital. Anderson was transported by Olivia Ambulance to Olivia Airport and flown to St. Cloud Hospital by LifeLink III. The Renville Fire Dept., Granite Falls Ambulance assisted. The accident is under investigation by the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.
