New Ulm Police

• Received a Walmart skipscanning self-checkout theft report at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday. A 22-year-old Gibbon man was cited for misdemeanor theft of $404.39 worth of items from July 1 to Aug. 8, 2024.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 5 and 5th St., Green Isle, Sibley County. A 2000 Ford F250 driven by Paul Jonathon Eckberg, 62, Gaylord, and a 2006 Saturn Vue driven by Miranda Michelle Hagfors, 29, Arlington, were both northbound on TH 5 and collided at 5th St. Hagfors was transported to an Arlington hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Green Isle Fire Dept. and Arlington Ambulance assisted.
