New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries at 2:39 p.m. Saturday at Highland Avenue and CR 29. Michael Meyer, 63, New Ulm, was driving a 1988 Chevrolet R20 northbound on CR 29, approaching Highland when a 2016 Ford Taurus driven westbound on Highland Ave. by Nancy Hillesheim, 77, Lake Crystal, began to turn southbound on CR 29 and collided with the Chevrolet. Hillesheim had minor injuries. Damage was severe-disabling to the front end of the Fort and moderate-disabling to the front end of the Chevrolet.
• Responded to a report at 11:58 p.m. Friday of intoxicated 15-year-old girls from Fairfax and Mankato near the Brown County Fairgrounds. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of underage consumption charges. The girls were released to their parents.
• Stopped a vehicle at 12:56 p.m. Sunday for no headlights or taillights illuminated at night. The officer noticed impairment clues from the driver, a 22-year-old New Ulm man. He passed a breath test but open alcohol bottle and open cannabis packages were found. The man was cited for both offenses. A report was done for documentation.
• Arrested and transported a 57-year-old New Ulm woman to the Brown County Jail Monday morning on a Brown County warrant for a theft charge. A report was done for documentation.
• Took a report from Oak Hills Living Center at 11:31 a.m. Monday of a forged check passed in the amount of $2,276.16. The check was cashed at a Honolulu, Hi. bank. A report was sent to investigators.
• Responded to Citizens Bank Minnesota at 12:08 p.m. Monday to seize a counterfeit $50 bill in a local business deposit. A report was done for documentation.
