New Ulm Police

• Located a vehicle earlier reported stolen from a Hanska gas station, being driven in the Hy-Vee parking lot at 2:27 p.m. Saturday. Officers tried to stop a white 2011 Nissan Altima but the vehicle fled in the vehicle until exiting in the car in the New Ulm Country Club parking lot and fleeing on foot. Officers searched on foot. Dispatched received a call of a suspicious man near Dacotah Drive. Police including a K-9 and Brown County deputies located a 35-year-old Yankton, S.D. man and transported him to the Brown County Jail. A report for charge consideration of fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, no Minnesota driver’s license and motor vehicle theft. The man said he was on parole in South Dakota.

• Talked to a 39-year-old New Ulm woman at 4:03 p.m. Sunday who said her ex-husband, a 43-year-old New Ulm man, whom she has an active harassment restraining order against, called her multiple times from a blocked number. The man was located, arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. Reports went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and Brown County Probation.

• Stopped a vehicle for illegal window tint at 10:21 a.m. Monday. A marijuana odor was detected coming from inside the vehicle. An open cannabis package was found in the vehicle. The driver, a 31-year-old New Ulm man, was cited for open cannabis package. A report went to the Minnesota Department of Corrections and probation.

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Received a vandalism report at 7:48 p.m. Saturday at Albin Lutheran Church, Albin Township. Nothing was reported stolen. A report was done for documentation.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries at 5:53 p.m. Sunday on Highway 71 at 180th Street, Willow Lake Township, Redwood County. A 2016 Ford Explorer driven northbound by Christa Kathleen Schilling, 37, Springfield; and a 2015 Ford Expedition driven northbound by Lois Jean Sauck, 41, Sanborn, collided. Sauck was transported to Redwood Hospital with a non-life threatening injury and did not wear a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Lamberton Ambulance and Wanda Fire Dept. assisted.
