New Ulm Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at 2:55 p.m. Thursday at Washington St. and 8th St. N. A 2023 Kia Telluride driven westbound by Nicola Juliann Swart, 33, Gibbon and a 2019 Subaru Ascent driven southbound by Sarah Marie Bengtson, 27, New Ulm, were approaching the intersection of Washington and 8th St. N., attempted to brake and collided on snow-covered roads. Damage was severe to both vehicles. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries on snow-covered roads at 4th St. S. and Front. A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Travis Jason Leskey, 50, New Ulm, was plowing snow, backing out of a driveway when he collided with a 2017 Ford Escape driven by Michael Stanley Ress. 76, New Ulm. Damage was moderate to the Ford Escape. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Received a report at 8:46 a.m. Friday that South Point Federal Credit Union took a deposit from a local business that contained a counterfeit $20 bill. The business reported it would not be possible to identify who passed the counterfeit bill. A report was done for documentation.
