New Ulm Police

* Responded to a one-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 2:57 a.m. Sunday at 20th South and Broadway. Kendrick Henry, 18, New Ulm, was driving a 2004 Ford Escape westbound on Broadway. He said his brakes locked and he hit a pedestrian traffic device. Henry wore a seat belt and was not injured.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at Broadway and 10th South Street at 10:01 a.m. Monday. A 2019 Chevy Silverado driven southbound on Broadway by Joshua Krohnfeldt, 47, Springfield, was stopped for a red light when a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Peter Zambino, 66, New Ulm, failed to stop, rear-ending the Chevy. Damage was minor to the Chevy and moderate to the Chrysler. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Talked to a 16-year-old New Ulm boy Sunday who said he sent nude photos of himself to someone who is asking for money or they will share the photos. The scammer asked for $300. The boy sent $100 and said he is being harassed and threatened by the scammer. A report went to an investigator.

• Responded to a domestic between 28-year-old homeless women and a 44 year old New Ulm man Sunday.  The women said she believed her foot was broken during an altercation with the man.  The women was transported to New Ulm Medical Center via ambulance.  The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.  Reports went to Human Services, Probation, CADA, and the County Attorney for domestic assault charges. 

Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Arrested a 54-year-old Minneapolis man near the corner of 150th St. and 170th Ave., Lake Hanska Township Sunday after responding to a suspicious activity call at 7:57 a.m. Sunday. The man was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of possession of stolen property and driver’s license cancelled-Inimical to Public Safety charges.
