New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 1st North and Jefferson Street at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday. A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Izzabella Higgins, 15, New Ulm, lost control while westbound, hit a tree on 1st North, backed up and hit the front end of a parked, unoccupied 2011 GMC Yukon. Damage was moderate to the front of the GMC and moderate to the front and rear of the Pontiac. Higgins sore a seat belt. She had minor pain and denied medical attention.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 8:55 a.m. Thursday at 8th North and Garden Street. A 2016 Honda CRV driven westbound on 8th North by Amber Rae Schwartz, 37, New Ulm failed to stop for a stop sign at Garden Street and collided with a 2020 Chevy Equinox driven southbound on Garden Street by Johanna Rose Kelly, 36, New Ulm. Kelly had a possible injury. Both drivers wore seat belts. Damage was moderate and disabling to both vehicles. A stop sign was also hit.
• Responded to a single-vehicle crash at 11th South and Broadway at 11:01 a.m. Wednesday. Kaesha Kathleen Koch, 24, New Ulm, was southbound on Broadway, drifted to the median and hit a light pole and sign. Vehicle damage was moderate. Koch was not injured and wore a seat belt.
• Officers arrested an 18-year-old New Ulm women at 1:20 p.m.Wednesday on a Blue Earth County warrant for theft. She was taken to the Brown County Jail. Report for documentation.
• Took a Walmart skip scanning report involving a 54-year-old Gibbon man Wednesday. On five occasions, the man did not scan all his items. The total amount of unscanned items was $202.63. Officers are waiting for video footage from Walmart before interviewing the man.
