New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries at 8:51 a.m. Thursday at Jefferson and 3rd North Street. Jessica Marie Yost, 41, New Ulm, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on 3rd North when she collided with the driver’s side of a southbound 2014 Ford Escape driven by Elaine Clare Wurtzberger, 74, New Ulm. Damage was moderate to the Chevy and moderate, disabling to the Ford. Both drivers wore seat belts.
• Responded to a four-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 11:27 a.m. Thursday at Broadway and 9th South Street. A 2017 Jeep driven by Jeremy Michael Fritag, 26, Fairfax, was southbound on Broadway, braked and stopped quickly to avoid a collision with a stopped unidentified vehicle in the traffic lane. The unidentified vehicle left the area. A 2014 Chevrolet driven southbound by Brianna Nicole Steffl, 20, New Ulm collided with the rear of the Jeep and a 2014 Dodge driven southbound by Mackenzie Jean Risen, 22, New Ulm, collided with the rear of the Chevrolet. Damage was moderate to the front of the Jeep, moderate to the front and rear of the Chevrolet and moderate to the front of the Dodge. The Chevrolet and Dodge were towed. Three drivers wore seat belts.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a construction cargo trailer stolen in Springfield earlier Wednesday recovered at 7:43 a.m. Thursday on 350th Avenue, Burnstown Township. The trailer was not damaged. The report is under investigation.
• Responded to 10:46 a.m. Thursday report a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Miranda Staudinger, Comfrey, that left the road near the CR 21/CR 3 intersection in Stately Township. No injuries reported. The vehicle was heavily damaged.
